Accident at Work
Mr P. suffered an accident at work and had to claim against his employers.
Background
Mr P, a teacher, had an accident at work where he tripped over a toy which had been left behind him by a child. As a result of the accident, he sustained a fracture to his ankle.
What we did
We took on the case and pursued the Claimant’s employer who initially denied liability for the accident. We obtained a medical report and made an offer of settlement and the insurers were still maintaining that liability was denied. We then took steps to issue Court proceedings and settlement was agreed shortly after this with the Defendant’s Solicitors.
Settlement
An out of court settlement was reached for £20,000.
