We’re excited to share a heart warming story with you today. At Stonehewer Moss we’re not just about handling personal injury cases; we’re also dedicated to supporting our community and the environment. Today’s story is about a bee rescue mission we recently had the privilege to be part of, right from our own office!
A few weeks ago, we noticed some buzzing coming from our office chimney. Upon further investigation, we realised that a colony of bees had made our chimney their home. Now, instead of panicking or taking drastic measures, we saw this as an opportunity to help our little friends move house.

Saving the bees
First and foremost, we want to emphasise the importance of treating bees with respect and care. Bees play a crucial role in pollinating our plants, and their survival is vital for a healthy ecosystem. It was essential for us to find a way to remove them safely without causing harm.
So, we decided to call in the expert, Northwich Beekeeper Karl Colyer from Bees In Our Community! Bees In Our Community are a business aimed at helping to increase beekeepers and honeybee colonies in the community and specialise in humane bee removal. Our hearts were set on ensuring these bees would be relocated to a more suitable environment rather than exterminated.
We were amazed by Karl’s knowledge and dedication to these wonderful creatures. It is amazing to see just how much honeycomb was transferred along with the bees into a special container before moving in to their new hive.
The best part? Not a single bee was harmed during the process.

It was a bittersweet good-bye to the bees. But this experience reminded us of the importance of coexisting with nature and how small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Bees, despite their tiny size, have a huge impact on our world, and we’re proud to have played a role in their protection.
